Hideaway welcomes Jürgen Melzer, professional tennis player

This December, Hideaway is pleased to welcome Jürgen Melzer, an Austrian professional tennis player. During his stay at Hideaway, Jürgen Melzer is going to play on Hideaway’s tennis court on Thursday the 6th of December. Jürgen Melzer is one of the oldest players who still hold the place in the ATP rankings, standing as the sixth best-ranked player among those who are older than 36. In 2011, he reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8. That same year, he also had success in the doubles, winning the US Open in 2011 with Philipp Petzschner. In 2010, he was a semi-finalist at Roland Garros where he overpowered Novak Djokovic in the quarters after dropping the opening two sets.

Tomislav Serdarusic, from Croatia, has been coaching professional tennis for the past 18 years all over the world. He has worked on professional tournaments with top 200 ATP singles and doubles player. He is currently the tennis coach at Lily Beach Resort & Spa, Maldives, one of Hideaway’s sister properties.
