Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa joins hands with Parley Maldives for the Ocean campaign
Hideaway Beach Resort & Spa is proud to partner with Parley Maldives for the Ocean, a leading environmental organisation, this June. Initiated by Parley Maldives, along with the support of MATI and Maldives Government, this collaboration aims to drive sustainable change and promote the conservation of marine ecosystems in the Maldives.
As part of this collaboration, all stakeholders in the tourism industry, including Hideaway will work together to implement various initiatives that focus on reducing plastic pollution, protecting coral reefs, and preserving the natural beauty of the Maldives’ pristine ocean environment. The joint efforts will include ongoing beach clean-ups, educational programs, and the implementation of sustainable practices within our resort.
Hideaway is committed to operating in an eco-friendly way, having already stepped away from single-use plastic. This collaboration with Parley Maldives for the Ocean further strengthens our sustainability efforts. By integrating Parley’s innovative solutions and expertise, we aim to minimise our ecological footprint while offering our guests an unforgettable, environmentally responsible experience.
In celebration of World Ocean Day we conducted clean-up dives, held talks on conserving the marine environment, and carried out reef clean-ups involving our guests and team members. Additionally, as Hideaway is famous for its exquisite pristine beach on the large island, the team and guests took part in a beach clean-up as well.
The partnership between Parley Maldives for the Ocean and Hideaway represents a significant step towards creating a more sustainable future for the Maldives’ marine ecosystems. Through our collective actions, we strive to inspire others in the industry, local communities, and travellers to embrace sustainable practices and become stewards of the ocean.
Those who have witnessed the incredible sights below th ocean’s surface in the Maldives will want to inspire everyone they know to do all they can to protect the blue of our planet. If you haven’t already done so, try snorkelling and scuba diving during your next stay with us – you will see sights you will never forget, an abundance of life residing on the reefs.
